G&J Studio was created by Jackie van Rensburg and Gesie Marshall to create beautiful original jewellery. We make jewellery pieces distinctive in their style and quality, but also try to pass on our knowledge, and hopefully a bit of the excitement, to others. G&J Studio designs and manufactures jewellery and teaches others to do the same.

G&J opened its doors on the second of February 2011. Since then the studio has moved, increased its training area, increased its client base and produced hundreds of unique pieces.

We create and design: rings, earrings, bracelets, broaches, tiaras, studs, engagement rings, neckpieces, dangling earrings, necklaces, charms, bangles, pearl clasps (original), silver beads and wedding rings. We promise that each piece will be unique, hand-made and designed to cater to the client’s needs. Should you not want a commissioned piece, the studio also has a few premade personal ranges to choose from.

We can also: string pearls, replace lost stones and findings, do complete valuations of a piece of jewellery, source stones (gemstones and diamonds) and do engravings.

We train others: by following a simple syllabus students are taught silversmithing. This allows students to develop the skills needed to create their own designs based on their needs and sense of aesthetic. Students manufacture their own rings (with or without stones), pendants, necklaces, bangles and bracelets, charms, earrings and anything else they can dream of.

The studio provides the equipment, training, teachers, materials, tools, silver and a good cup of coffee (or tea, if you prefer to sip with your pinkie out).
